Creating navigational header for website

| Start
by opening a new file. |
|
Create
a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. |
|
|
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Enable gradient overlay.
Use a grey to white to grey gradient. |
|
| Using
pen tool create top bar. |
|
| Double
click top bar layer to open layer style window and apply drop shadow. |
|
|
| Duplicate
the top bar layer. Press Ctrl+T to transform the layer, move it down and
right click, then select rotate 180. |
|
|
| Duplicate
the top layer again and move it down. |
|
| Create
another white rectangle below the bottom bar layers. This will serve as
a button bar. |
|
| Create
a rectangle over main grey rectangle. |
|
| Open
any image relevant to your website or any textured image. |
|
| Drag
it to the main file. |
|
| Select
textured image layer and ctrl+click the top orange rectangle layer to get
the selection |
|
| Press
ctrl+shift+I to inverse the selection. |
|
| Press
delete to remove the outer area. |
|
| From
the bottom of the layer pallete enable layer mask. |
|
| Drag
a B&W linear gradient to mask this layer. |
|
| Change
the color mode to multiply of textured image layer. |
|
|
| Type
your links. |
|
| Add
other details. |
|
|
| Add
a cutout of the product in the header. |
|
| Place
your company logo on top left corner. |
